Dupes for MAC Lipsticks
I am a firm believer that you shouldn't pay a lot for makeup. Expensive makeup is 75-100% about nice packaging. This is why I love dupes. It proves that inexpensive makeup is every bit as a good as high end makeup to the point where a dupe can literally give you the same look as its high end counterpart.
I avoid buying lipstick from department stores or Sephora, but it is so tempting when you can try on the color right there. Much more useful than squinting at different stickers with huge numbers on them trying to determine whether "True Red" or "Reddest Red" will suit your skin better. When this method - this ineffectual method - inevitably fails, you may end up spending more money finding the right lipstick at the drugstore than if you had just bought the right one at a counter. Unbelievably frustrating.
Thus, I made this list for myself and now I'm sharing it with you: a list of over 50 MAC lipstick dupes. These are compiled from various blogs and YouTube channels. Most of them are from the bubbly Melissa Raymond (aka Melmphs) and the knowledgable Emily Noel (her blog) who are both amazing YouTube beauty gurus with phenomenal channels. The rest are from other YouTubers and bloggers, which I will link at the end.
My Suggested Method
The best way to use this list to save money is to go to a counter where you can try on the lipstick and find a shade that you like that has been duped. This is why I made the list compact and alphabetical. So its easy to see on your phone or print up, and its easy to see if the color has a dupe. Never waste money on a high end lipstick or a lipstick you don't like again.
